Monticello Park visits

This spring I have gone to Monticello Park, the famous warbler hotspot, several times. Here are some of the things I've been seeing.

Louisiana Waterthrush - Great views!

Red-headed Woodpecker! This bird has only been seen rarely at Monticello Park.

Rose-breasted Grosbeak - technically, this was outside the park.

Same Red-headed Woodpecker (it was there for several days). He often hid behind the tree he was on.

Black-and-white Warbler bathing.

Canada Warbler!

American Redstart

You can see the redstart fanning his tail (they are named for the red on their tails "starts" ).

Black-and-white Warbler

Eastern Towhee

Northern Parula - Yellow chin!

Great-crested Flycatcher

Magnolia Warbler

Black-throated Blue Warbler

Black-and-white Warbler

Stay tuned for more updates from Monticello Park!
