Ovenbird

On the 24th, I went to the US Botanic Gardens. It is actually a great birding spot, where I saw my first Fox Sparrow. There are also hummingbirds and other cool birds.

INSIDE the rare plants exhibit, I saw an Ovenbird! It scratched around on the ground and then flew up into a tree in the exhibit. It came only two feet away from me. The staff at USBG said it would be fine and could escape easily. It was odd, because Ovenbirds aren't usually here at this time of year, and also most birds don't come inside buildings.

I also saw other cool birds like White-throated Sparrows outside.
